Ritvik Bhattacharjee

Ritvik Bhattacharjee is the president and founder of Natyam, and currently a third year biomedical engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin. He began his foray into the world of dance at the tender age of 8, learning the Tanjavur style of Bharatanatyam under guru Yamuna Srinidhi. At the age of 10, he was introduced to the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam under the guidance of guru Indrani Parthasarathy, and completed his Arangetram (dance debut performance) in August 2014, at the age of 16. After the completion of his Arangetram, he continued his dance education and learned the Kuchipudi style of dance under guru Indrani Parthasarathy. Aside from dance, Ritvik enjoys practicing the piano, singing in the UT choir, and making myriads of culinary recipes.

Anupriya Jose

Anupriya Jose is a second year biomedical engineering student. She has been learning bharatanatyam for more than 14 years. She took her first lessons from Guru Bon Mayuri Kalita in Colorado Springs at the tender age of 5. Her Chilanga Puja, an important milestone in the journey of learning Bharatanatyam, was performed at the age of 10. After moving to Austin, she continued her training under the tutelage of Guru Bana Shastri Ramnath. Anupriya completed her arangetram in June of 2017 and continues to perform at events in the area. Aside from bharatnatyam, Anupriya's passions include singing, playing piano, and watching an exorbitant amount of movies.
